Ooh, this looks like fun!

1. "You speak French?" (Jayne/Inara)
2. "They're just called finger sandwiches!" (River/Badger)
3. "Don't worry - I can fix this" (Simon/Mal)
4. "Nothin' a couple of beers won't cure" (Simon and Jayne bonding over their women troubles; Simon clueless than Jayne's troubles are with River)

1. This one would take place during "Out of Gas" when they've already sent out the shuttles. Maybe Jayne says something pretty simple like "Mon dieu!" and Inara has a wtf reaction. Turns out Jayne used to favor a French whore and starts to go into disgusting detail when Book tells him that's enough, they get the point. Then Jayne starts talking about more nationalities but then they get the call from Zoe to get back to Serenity and they all do, gladly. Maybe it ends with Kaylee making some remark about "whores of the rainbow."

2. Badger shows up on the boat with a job proposition. No one's pleased to see him but Kaylee makes the best of it and goes about making refreshments. They leave Badger with River and she gets kind of creepy and it finally culminates in River inquiring after the sandwiches, which were made with a mysterious looking meat anyway. Badger chokes up what he's eaten, stops assing around and gives Mal the pertinent details, and then beats a hasty retreat. River proclaims it the worst tea party ever.

3. Told mostly in dialogue, Mal's obviously upset and Simon's very placating. Mal shrieks in pain at one point. The big reveal is that Mal got in the way of Kaylee's nail gun and got one right in the forehead.

4. Married!Simon has been thrown out of his and Kaylee's bunk for saying to a pregnant Kaylee, "You don't ALWAYS look fat, just wait the nine months and-" Jayne, who's no stranger to saying the wrong thing, hang out at a bar while Jayne regales Simon with tales about how often he's messed up with the lady he's been pursuing. It's all funny in a pretty pathetic way especially when he gets to telling Simon about the bad poetry he's written her in love letters. Simon makes an offhand remark about River hiding letters under her pillow and Jayne tears off to go investigate. Simon toasts himself, "Alone again, naturally."

Great job! You'll be pleased to know that River's tea party with Badger as you describe it gets mentioned in the next section of "Interventions" (which should be finished Real Soon Now - I had hoped to have it and another story done by Thanksgiving, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen).

1. Spike tells Illyria about the childhood game Bloody Mary. Intrigued, she goes to a mirror and says "Bloody Mary" three times. Of course, she doesn't appear, so Illyria busts the mirror, thinking the spirit is trapped inside it. Angel's been pissy all week so Spike isn't as happy with the vandalism as he normally would've been. When Angel goes into the bathroom he sees the mirror's been crappily glued together and scowls.

2. Hamilton's up late watching the show "Bliss" on Oxygen. (In case you don't know, it's this borderline bad Canadian-made soft core porn show targeted at women.) He hears something out in the hall and goes to investigate and it's only his neighbor, Guinny, who's been working late all week and got some of his mail by mistake and was just sliding it under his door. She sees what he's watching on tv and says, "Ooooh, I like this show!" Hamilton invites her in and they watch and then it gets porny. :D

3. Angst fic about River keeping her love for Jayne locked up because he could never, ever reciprocate it.

4. "Was that the primary bumper panel?"
"Primary what what?"
"Did the primary bumper panel just fall off of my bloody TARDIS?!"
"... Possibly?"

*snork* Sorry. First thing that came to mind. But sure, I'll go with it. The TARDIS falls apart and Rose has to help Ten repair it. Lots of "what's this?" and Rose calling Ten on his superior attitude.

On Emmy's first day on the ship, Jamey shows her the kitchen where TA-DAH Jayne and River already are. Because Jamey isn't subtle, his interest in Emmy is obvious to his ma and pop. River recognizes the tension and is worried on Jamey's behalf, while Jayne's all grins and sly looks Jamey's way. It's terribly awkward for Jamey and it ends with River pulling Jayne from the room to make the embarrassment go away. Jayne says, "Yeah, we better give 'em some time alone. *big stupid grin and obviious wink*"
