Day Three - Wednesday
Mary Anne woke up to the feeling of someone gently stroking her hair. She stirred and blinked her eyes open sleepily, smiling when she saw Danny.
“Mmm. Hi, Danny.”
“Morning.”
“Yeah,” she agreed, and snuggled the pillow under her head.
“Sleep well?” His hand slid down to her back and rubbed a soothing circle.
"Best sleep I've had in a long time,” she said, smiling at him adoringly. Stacey and Claudia always warned her before not to be such an open book with guys, but she was finding that with Danny, she couldn’t hide anything.
Danny traced her smile with his fingertips. "Same here."
"What time do you have to start work?" She sucked one of his fingers into her mouth and grinned when his eyes glazed over.
He looked over his shoulder at the clock. "In two and a half hours."
She let his finger go. "Do you want me to stay or go?"
"Whatever you want. I don't want to keep you from anything...but if I'm not, that's good."
"Ohhh, no." Mary Anne climbed on top of him and hummed softly when he ran his hands up and down her sides. "I just thought you'd want your man space. Can't have me getting my girliness all over everything."
Danny chuckled, sliding his hands up her back and pulling her down for a kiss. "It's not. Not yet anyways."
Ten minutes into a heavy makeout, Mary Anne was reaching for the bedside table for another condom.

Chad had dozed off again after his second round with Mary Anne. Being on top brought out the wild woman in her and it had been amazing as hell to watch. He was feeling so good, he only woke up when she started to shift around, trying to get up. He frowned. That wasn’t right.
Cranky, he opened his eyes to find her smiling apologetically at him. "I should probably go back to my room."
He sighed. Yeah, I have to get ready for work..."
She gave him a soft kiss. "When can I see you again?"
Mary Anne wanted to see him again? He held her close, smelling her soft hair. "I get off work at five, if I don't see you around before. You can call here. Extension 238."
“Okay.” Another quick kiss and she was slipping out of bed to get dressed. "See you then, baby."
Baby. She’d called him that last night, too. It was a major improvement over hearing her sigh another man’s name. Watching her get dressed, he asked lightly, "I'm your baby now, huh?"
"If you want to be.” She shimmied into her dress and frowned at him worriedly. “But if it bothers you-”
“No,” he interrupted. “I really, really like it.”
“Okay.” She came back over to the bed, sitting on the edge. “Zip me up?”
Chad slowly zipped up her dress and kissed the nape of her neck lightly. “There you go.”
“Thanks. See ya, Danny.”
There was that name again. He’d been using it for a year without much thought but he was really starting to hate it. “Mary Anne?”
She paused at the door, giving him an affectionate smile. “Yeah?”
What was he thinking; he couldn’t tell her the truth. "Have a good day."
"You too, baby." She left with a spring in her step and Chad didn’t think he could feel like a bigger asshole.

Chad was cleaning out the pool when Mary Anne and her friends walked by, heading out to the beach. Mary Anne sent him a secret smile and he grinned a little back before returning to work.
The old timers in deck chairs a few feet from him abruptly stopped their conversation as the girls walked by.
"If I were thirty years younger..." One of them said longingly.
"Hell, even twenty years younger!" the other said, nudging his friend with his elbow.
Smirking, Chad enjoyed the memory of last night and the morning.
"So, do you like blondes or brunettes?" the first old timer asked.
"I was always partial to redheads."
"Oh yes, they're a fine bunch. I liked brunettes, though. Like that one." He pointed to Mary Anne and Chad went stiff. "Looks just like my Morganna."
Oh, don’t even go there, asshat. For a moment, Chad considered bopping the old guy a good one over the noggin with his pool net.
"She does a bit. Maybe she's looking for a sugar daddy?" They both burst into wheezing laughter and Chad clenched his teeth. He was way too poor to be a sugar daddy to Mary Anne.
Their laughter cut off short when Mary Anne started to run their way. Chad smirked again when she passed them on her way to him and they both visibly wilted.
Mary Anne stopped in front of him, smiling big. "Hi. Do I look like I'm getting pink?"
She poked her midriff and looked up at him with her big brown eyes.
"Mmm, a little bit. Need some lotion."
She swayed a little closer, tilting her head to the side. "Yeah, I'd better run in and get some."
The old timers were watching with interest but they’d ceased to exist in Chad’s mind. Would you be needing any help applying the lotion?"
“Yes please,” she said softly and stepped even closer to him. “It's hard to reach my back."
Unable to resist anymore, he lowered his head and kissed her gently. "I'll get those tricky spots for you."
Her expression was dreamy as she pulled back from him. "My hero."
Chad watched her walk away, smiling, but was jolted out of his enjoyment by one of the old timers saying, “Congratulations!”
“Yes, she's a lovely young lady,” the other man agreed.
Chad nodded. "She sure is."
One of the old timers shrugged. "Too bad that she's just on vacation. But eh, maybe this was what you were looking for."
The other’s face lit up. "I scored so much tail the year I was a lifeguard at Coco Beach..."
And that was Chad’s signal to vacate the premises immediately.

"I think one of those funny old men was hitting on Mallory."
"Yeah, wouldn't surprise me."
"Just goes to show men are always randy, even when they're a hundred."
Chad had moved to the beach to pick up bottles and assorted trash but Mary Anne had found him easily enough. Now, he chuckled and rubbed some lotion on her tummy, making her giggle. Smiling, he tickled her a little more.
"Dan-nyyyyy!" She squirmed.
"What? I'm just putting lotion on you!"
"I'm ticklish!"
He wrapped his arms around her and tugged her close. "That a fact?"
"Yes. A well-documented one,” she added with a playful smile.
Never before had he seemed like a touchy-feely guy but he found that whenever she was around, he had to be touching her some way. Her playfulness was adorable and he kissed her, wishing they could be alone someplace.
"I'm going to wait for you in your bed." Mary Anne grabbed his wrist to look at his watch. "Just another forty-five minutes..."
Chad sighed and rubbed her back with his free hand. "That's a long time."
"Yeah. But you can make it." She cupped his face in her hands, expression sweetly serious. "I know you can."
He kissed her again. "I'll see you in forty five minutes then."
"PDAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Mary Anne broke the kiss, blushing, and turned to look over her shoulder as her friends approached, on their way inside to get changed one could assume.
Chad glared at the giggling girls. Didn’t they have other things to do? Like visit some tourist trap? That was how Mary Anne had been spending her time when she wasn’t with him or hanging out around the resort.
“Did you see his face?” the girl who had shouted said, proudly. Misty? Kristin? Something like that…
"Um. I'll see you at dinner." Mary Anne said to the girls.
"Where are you heading off to?" the redhead asked curiously.
Mary Anne stepped closer to him. "I'm going to be hanging out with Danny."
"OOooooOOOooo!" two of the girls said excitedly.
"Okay, cool. See ya later, then." Misty/Kristin/whatsherhead led the girls off.
“Forty-five minutes,” Chad said to Mary Anne once they were gone.
She started to back up. “I’ll be waiting.” She pretended to untie her bikini top and Chad couldn’t help but grin excitedly.
~*~
"Dawn, she's fine."
Kristy and Dawn hung back from the group as they all headed up to their rooms to change clothes for dinner.
"But... this was supposed to be a celebration of Mary Anne kicking Logan to the curb! And what's the first thing she does? Hooks up with a stranger! She knows nothing about him! He could be a drug addict, or a criminal, or-- or a puppy kicker!"
"So she's celebrating in a different way. Look, if he does anything out of line, we'll go tell on him and get him fired. Mary Anne's smart; she wouldn't get involved with a puppy kicker. Say what you will about Logan, but he treated puppies with respect."
Dawn’s shoulders sagged. "I know, I just... I hope she can let go when this trip's over. You know how she gets attached... and I don't want her to get hurt."
"She was looking pretty attached, wasn't she?" Kristy started to look a little worried herself.
"Uh huh.” Dawn bit her lip. “Like she might be falling for him? You get that vibe?"
"Yes. And I'm getting that from him, too."
"Uh oh..."
"Maybe we should talk to her."
Dawn nodded and looked around. "Except... she's disappeared."
Kristy sighed heavily. “I guess it can wait until later. Once we decide what to say and how to say it.”
That made Dawn smile a little. “You’ve finally learned to think before you speak?”
“Hey!” Kristy stayed where she was as Dawn went on ahead, smirking. “I’m not rude all the time!”
