Date: 2010-09-21 04:24 am (UTC)The Pink Carnation was really predictable but I found I didn't care because it was just so much fun to read. I was reading it at the same time I was reading Twilight and New Moon and I kept thinking, "See, THIS is how you do fluff." Fun, smart, written well, and the pages go by fast (unlike Twilight, which dragged). So I'm saying that I recommend The Pink Carnation and that it's a step above a beach read. :)

Date: 2010-09-21 10:02 am (UTC)To be a working girl and be the prey to Jack the Ripper,
a working girl- and be forced to do things you do not want to.
Not every man going to pay her well or look like Richard Gere, so while she's here; respect the working girl.
Some of it is funnier than hell; some of it breaks your heart. I have a few recordings of my crappy demo sketches that I send to my other theatrics if you want to hear a song of two for it?
I absolutely hated Pink Carnation- maybe it's because I thought I was supposed to be reading a caper of some sort and then they ended up doing nothing but having sex all day long. LOL
