Snagged from a few people. And let me just say that it's really, really hard to be objective about your own fic/writing. You want to think that you've never screwed up, but since no one is perfect, chances are that you have.
Keyboard or [insert various local names for pen-type implements]? I usually write longhand first if I only have a vague idea of where I want to go. If I know exactly how the fic is supposed to be, I write it at the keyboard. The pen lets me explore a bit and some of my better lines came from the pen. Drawback is, I've gone through reams of paper and many pens have run out of ink. :P
Beta or no beta I send fic to Kat to gauge her reaction. But sometimes she's just SO EXCITED to find fic in her inbox that she forgets to spot typos and I end up finding them when I post and get annoyed, lol. I still love her, though.
Plot? Er, yes?
Title? Good god, do I struggle. Because of Songs From a Firefly I've found myself using song titles, which I find horribly lame. I want to think of my own titles, damn it!
Smushy or smutty? Smushy, for sure.
Summary? Oh god, they're so necessary but so rutting difficult to write! I either lift a line out of the fic itself to serve as the summary or more often lately, I just skip it.
Funniest Fic? ... Dammit. Um, She's a Sticky-Fingered Filcher? Or maybe Where in the Verse is River Tam, when Jayne says he didn't fart out the electric storm; that got a huge laugh I remember.
Most popular fic? Probably She's a Sticky-Fingered Filcher. Or maybe You're Really Lovely Underneath it All?
Most fun to write? I almost always have fun writing fic but probably Smile! since I wrote it with Kat.
Best and Worst?
Best: You're Really Lovely Underneath It All. I played it serious and at the time I felt like it was my worst fic yet because it was so low on dialogue and that's one of my more stronger abilities, writing-wise. But the reception for it was amazing and reading over it a second time I like it now.
Worst: Uh, probably my first fic, Staring. It's a few lines long and really hinges on the "O rly?" owl meme which if you don't know kind of makes the fic stupid. Not that it was all that brill in the first place...
Coulda been contenders I'm not sure what this means, fics that should've been more well received but weren't? In that case, I'll have to say Songs From a Firefly, no doubt in my mind. I guess I take it a tad personally since the kids are my original characters and I love them to bitty bits while worrying that I'm making them into Mary Sues and Gary Stus. I probably would've pitched the whole idea if Kat hadn't fallen so in love with it.
Strengths? Dialogue, keeping Jayne and Mal in character, humor, happy endings.
Weaknesses? River voice (good lord do I fail at River voice), angst (I need my humor, man!), and smut (I get self conscious and awkward).
Dirty little secrets? I have so many epics planned that it's ridiculous. I hope my interest in this pairing holds out long enough for me to write them!

'Tweet,' River said."
... Actually, that's sort of funny. But you know what I meant.
