Well, thanks for stepping outside your comfort zone and giving the fic a shot! :D (There's a fic out there and I can't remember the name or who wrote it but it had both Jayne/River and Mal/River. It was pretty awesome and it actually made me briefly consider Mal/River as a pairing before I discarded it in favor of my Rayne babies, lol.)
